He has urinary crystals so he's on cd prescription diet.

Planning to get a water fountain, mix a little warm water with his food.

Any other ideas?

Feed a wet only diet and add water to the food. That is sufficient water. Cats on a wet (or raw) diet usually don't drink much, if at all. My cats never drink.

Yeah my cat very rarely drinks any water. In fact, I leave some water out in a bowl, and what I have it there for is to use it as a "something not right" indicator. If she starts drinking water I figure something's not right. Though, once or twice she drank a few laps because I think the food I gave her made her thirsty.

I add cranberry powder to wetfood and add more water.

Water fountain is annoying to maintain. Have to wash it every week and change the filter. Some cats don't like it either.

Thanks for the info...I'll skip the fountain then, and just keep his food moist. I think the problem occurred when he ate so many of his favorite dried treats...

He's an expert at acting his cutest when he wants some...hard to resist. Now I have cd dried food to use as treats...hope he goes for it.

If he'll eat it, you can try some raw meat instead of treats. Chicken livers are a favorite at our house. Some cats love chicken necks or gizzards too.

Our cat loves water, but I notice that he really loves it when I add ice cubes lol. He licks them and "chases" them around the bowl while he's drinking. And when he hears the "clink" against the glass bowl when I add them, he comes running.
