I have had several cats in the past with upper respiratory infections where they refused to eat. I bought every kind of cat food and human food trying to get them to eat with no success. Then I opened a can of Fancy Feast turkey and giblets feast pate (green label) and they gobbled it up. I know one cat was near death and she ate it also. Then my friend one day said her cat was sick with the upper respiratory sickness so I told her to try this cat food and the next day she was so excited because it worked. Hope it helps with your cats. It's definitely worth a try.

Interesting.

After I moved long distance my cat would hardly eat so I went to a vet who gave me some Hill's AD. She finally ate that. Have a couple extra cans stashed away just in case.

On the rare occasion I've given my cat Fancy Feast she's acted like it was a drug ... which actually scared me a bit. So I guess I can see how it would get a cat who won't eat, to eat.

It's all in the smell. With a URI they can't smell much, if anything at all. Evidently that particular brand & flavor/cut gets through to their senses enough to make them want to eat. Oddly enough, my two don't care for the fancy feast turkey flavors much. They'll eat it, just not twice in a row. Still, I'm taking notes here just in case. Thanks.
