I remember Consuelo - I used to watch Marcus Welby MD when I was growing up in the 1970s. I loved that show and Medical Center, too. Consuelo was the nice and friendly nurse who ran Dr. Welby's office. She was grandmotherly but probably was only in her 50s back then. I'm sorry to hear she passed away.

Why are medical shows so graphic these days and going for shock value? In the 70s medical shows were strong on storyline and character. The only bad thing is that you learn in the real world doctors like Dr. Welby and Dr. Gannon were a rare species, doctors that really cared.
