You must be speaking of some other Ted Nugent who I've never heard of.

Interesting note: Ted Nugent doesn't sing Stranglehold. Derek St. Holmes does. Also, the song was co-written but the co-writer never received due credit for the song.

I wouldn't say Nugent is a better singer than Dylan or Young- maybe a better voice but not nearly better at conveying a message. And none of his songs had the impact of those two.

The snub I still think is funny is Linda Ronstadt making it in 16 years after the Eagles. The Eagles were founded when she encouraged two of her band members to go out on their own... Yet they were in a decade and a half before her.

With all the other valid singers/groups/musicians not currently inducted I really can't get worked up over Ted Nugent. Chaka Kahn is up this year and she sang at one of Bush's conventions so if you have the talent or impact you will have a chance.

Default Poopy Pants Nuge

[quote=Maliblue;49210102]I am not a fan of Nugent or his politics, but it is political.

"Is Journey really more talented than Ted Nugent? Is Heart? Is Steve Miller? Is Chicago? Is Green Day? Is Hall and Oates? Is Abba? Heck, how about Crosby himself, who hasn't written a good song in 47 years?"

Yes...yes they are...all of them, except for maybe Abba. The Nuge is a hack...always has been....now, he's just a has-been, a washed up old fart with lots of guns...and poopy pants.

Oh, I'm guessing that's true, except for the gun part (he has security for that), with respect to fossil David Crosby, who's joined the ranks of intolerant liberals by recently carping that he doesn't want Trump voters in his audience.

I thought he was dead, anyway, but he keeps stealing livers.

Are you not aware that Nugent is a big-time gun nut, or am I missing something in your post?

And I don't mean "nut" in a bad way, just that he's a fan. I like Nuge myself, although I'm not a fan of mixing politics of any color with rock-n-roll.
