Her nostrils were so wildly flared…it was so distracting and to me, made her seem incredibly odd looking. Not attractive, and certainly not a good actress.

And not a good actress....

Her best role was in "Goodbye Columbus" (1969).....where she played a J A P
(Jewish American Princess) ....with was not a big stretch for her....she is half jewish.....
A good movie ....I have it on DVD.

As for Ryan O'Neal.....also not the greatest actor....

His best roles where in "The Big Bounce" (1969) and "The Driver" (1978)....
The Driver is a pretty good movie ....I have both on DVD.

Oddly enough, I was watching an older episode of "Bones" where Ryan played Dr. Brennan's father. He died in that episode and the very next day I heard that he died in real life. :-(

Agreed. That's why the original title is HER name! The story is narrated by Addie.

Another classic. This guy does very well in these 'crappy dad' roles..

"The Main Event," with Babs, was a goofball movie, but I thought they were both pretty funny in it. The book was even better (as usual).

I disagree. She was beautiful then, and she's still gorgeous.

I grew up to movies like What's Up Doc?, Paper Moon, and had the opportunity to watch some of the filming of the movie Bad News Bears, which took place a block from my house in Chatsworth. During the filming, I got to see Ryan O'neal with Barbra Streisand. She had big frizzy hair iirc.

I appreciated his acting and that of his daughters. Also loved Walter Matthau in the BNB.

Barbra Streisand was a super fox in What's Up Doc?

I would never ever waste a second of my time watching dud movies like Love Story, nor The Way We Were. I knew back then as a 5 or 6 year old kid the same as I do now not to watch such drivel. Nor will I judge the actors who had to play those movies.

Now, the movie The Way We Were, which I could never stomach, got me onto a great movie, Three Days of the Condor, thus my desire for Robert Redford flicks. It was then that I became a Faye Dunaway fan.

Three Days of the Condor is a great movie. I've watched it numerous times.

Decent actor but not a good person. Good riddance.
