How many of these air brushed images do we have to put up with her that are reminiscent of Elizabeth Taylor (and she was much older). It appears that she wants to appear as the most glamorous person in the entire world, and to be truthful (although I think she does a lot of good), she is NOT that attractive.
For some reason, every time I see a magazine cover in the checkout line at the market, these are the only officially "sanctioned" images I see of Oprah.
I'm not afraid to admit it--I can't stand Oprah!!!! Not that she would care. She loves herself enough.
And her insisting that her face and only her face be on the cover of her magazine is very telling of her self indulgence.
She appears to be quite the narcissist for sure. I've never seen more air-brushed and photo-shopped pics of a celeb in my life. And it's always the same style; the hair falling back, great big eyelashes, glowing skin (ugh). For the life of me, I don't know why it bugs me so much!
Maybe it's because she looks like this without all of the airbrushing?
This seems to be the trend with many over 40 celebs today. Watch the Jenny Craig commercials with Valerie Bertinelli...air brushed. Remember Pam Anserson's short lived reality show, we never saw a clear shot of her on camera. It's all smoke and mirrors today.

so what face would you rather see promoting her magazine and her brand? pretty much every celeb or model is airbrushed.
Not as much as her, and as someone said, it's always a head and shoulders shot.
In the checkout line at the market, I see more of her airbrushed, photo-shopped images more than anyone.
Take Beyonce or Angelina Jolie; you'll not see them airbrushed in such a way. And Oprah has been treated this way since the days when she was as young as them.
The woman has a fascination with trying to appear as though she is something she is not; hence the term narcissist.
