I do like Apple's camera better but I will probably switch to the Note 8. If you buy a phone, it should be
yours to do whatever you want with. I don't like the Apple police
Aren't there keyboards in the app store that feature swipe? I use SwiftKey and it offers that.

This is besides the point... OP new there was no SD Card.... how can you whine about it after purchase?
+1, apple is one of my favorite electronics companies but i refuse to buy their products.
i use linux on my home pc which makes using their products a big hassle.
most other device manufacturers use standards which are universal.

apple has a large user base and they make more money having their users pay more for their charging cables and software (itunes is free but kinda forces you to browse their store while you are transferring files).

certain android models dont have sd cards also but i use a usb-on-the-go cable sometimes which works ok.

i think this is the crux of it. aplle users are like: "just pay for it."
whereas, android/cyanogenmod users are like: "you want me to pay $25 dollars for a charging cable i can get at the dollar store ?"

Not every Apple user. For example, if I need a charger for my Apple laptops I just buy one with good reviews from Amazon. I don't use iCloud because I don't need it. While I use iTunes I don't sync my iPhone nor anything else. I control music transfer from computer to the iPhone or iPod, manually. The same for photos and so on. I buy music, not only from Apple (iTunes), download it to the desktop, and then import the music into iTunes, just like I would from a music CD or flash drive.

The software that comes in Apple computers is free. But if you want to buy any non-Apple software directly from Apple, or printer, or whatever you want, the price is about the same as you would pay at other places. Some of the Apple software is a little expensive. For example, Final Cut Pro.

Overpriced proprietary cables likewise aren't THAT big of a deal. Annoying and I'd complain about it, but ultimately it wouldn't stop me from buying it. What would is the lack of a 3.5mm jack.

Upside is the iPhone 8 probably won't have a lightning cable since it won't have any ports at all. Wireless charging + AirSync. That's clearly the direction Apple is going. So hey, no proprietary cables =D
The iPhone 7plus comes with lightning plug headphones and an adapter if you still want to use the 3.5mm jack
Type headphones. Now you can get a flash drive with a lightning connector so you can just plug it Into To the charging port. So there's your extra storage and your 3.5mm headphone jack. The 32 gig flash drive is about 30.00

It came with earphones. I want over the ear (like ear muffs) headphones with a lightening port - no adapter to lose.. If you know of one, I would greatly appreciate the link. Thanks

There also are numerous apps one can use to record phone, or conversations around you. Apple has some voice recording apps that are free, but others apps are quite cheap:

A phone-recording app:

Just keep in mind that phone-call recording may be illegal without consent:
