Looking at Summerville as a maybe relocate., is it more of a retirement place or family oriented? Also, coming from AZ, how humid does it get (esp in the summer)? May seem like a dumb question, but don't know if we could handle "a lot" of humidity (some, ok).
thx
Tmom, we LOVE AZ and have been many times for vacation ... We know both heats. It is the complete opposite of AZ as far as feel. You'll get used to it though.. Just like there you have to stay hydrated. Make sure to read up on safety issues with this type of heat and being outside?.. Here is a good link for you...

I was born and raised in the desert southwest (New Mexico) and have been living here North Charleston for going on 12 years and I STILL haven't gotten used to the humidity.
Back home 115 in the shade and Im feeling fine .. out here .. 70 degrees and the humidity has me sweating like I've just run two miles .. lol.
Hope it works out better for you Tmom ... everyone acclimatizes differently.
I agree with OTC. It fits Summerville to a T. If you want to go to my website, I have numerous links posted with information about Summerville and the whole area you can check out.
Gee, after being in the desert so many years., I think it would take a long time to actually feel the humidity! (kinda like a dry sponge effect)! lol )
