Sprouts, I totally agree with you about knowing what's going on because you have the safety of others in your family to think about. My son who is a quadriplegic with a spinal cord injury lives with us and is wheelchair bound, and frequently in bed because of physical problems.

Having the news teams able to pinpoint specific areas to be on the alert is very reassuring in the midst of these powerful storms. Even a power outage can cause us major problems, as he has equipment that is electric.

I will grant that sometimes they get a little too excited about them, lol. But I'm still glad they're live with area reports as they happen.
