Wow.
My question; I know the parking garage will start soon, but when? Needed it yesterday. And when they start construction, where are people going to park until it's completed?
It's way over due too; additional terminal space and gates should be underway NOW. A happy problem.
The airport growth came out of nowhere. Allegiant and Frontier haven't even been at CHS 4 months. The numbers the airport is seeing now wasn't expected until the mid 2020's. You can't blame them for not having things ready "now."
So in the department of good news, MUSC is selling its Harborview Tower at 19 Hagood Ave and a proposed buyer intends to convert it into a 250 room hotel. The building would a get a total makeover including the parking garage.

I'm guessing these are some of the offices MUSC is moving to Citadel Mall. I've heard that they plan on breaking a few leases downtown, although that's third-hand info which may not be the most reliable. An official announcement and renderings are scheduled to be made public later in June.

The P&C article says they are moving to new buildings from the West Edge Development.

I think Chas could easily handle another luxury hotel downtown. Something along the lines of Four Seasons, Rosewood hotels, Waldorf Astoria, Mandarin Oriental etc.

I heard maybe 15 years ago there was going to be a Ritz built on Lockwood Blvd.
But guess that didn't happen.
How come MUSC is selling the so call Harborview Tower 1/2 a block away then lease another one so close by?
