We've about had it with Comcast, and are exploring Direct TV and Dish. Any opinions one way or the other?

Do you have the option to get Uverse? I'd go with that before a dish. Depending on your signal strength, I would hate having storms/ rain knock out my picture. My neighbor has Direct TV in Mt. Pleasant and likes it tho.

We have Directv and it's a better HD picture quality than Dish. We tend not to have issues in storms unless it gets really nasty. Would love to refer you if you decide to go that way.

We have DirectTV and I really like the company. We did have some time when it broke up during the hurricane but for the most part it was on all the time.

From what I understand DISH has two satellites to get feed from so it might not go out as much.

OK ... so, we go to Direct TV. Now, how do we get internet on the cheap ... we're willing to drop the landline & thus be rid of the Comcast triple play "bargain" package. Help, please! Thanks

We have Comcast internet and phone. I would personally drop the phone and just go cellular, but we want the kids to be able to pick up the home phone and dial 911 if needed.

We really don't have a choice... it's Comcast or ATT 6mb DSL which isn't even broadband anymore.

Dang, guess they haven't gotten to you yet. AT&T now has gigabyte service in some places.
