Do you by any chance remember a missing child case from 1974? It was a 15 year old boy who lived in Charleston Farms named Gary Locklear.

Not Gary Locklear. I remember that Clark girl who got killed around that same time on Folly Beach. Every few years, that family always tries to keep Valenti, the killer of her, in jail, trying to stop him from getting parole.

That was Sherri Clark...horrible case. I was friends with her mother, Janice, until her death 2 months ago. She was the one who kept the petitions going everytime that creep was up for parole. I don't remember the Gary Locklear case....?

I went to Charleston this weekend and loved it! I've been going there since 1979. I found out what happened to the food court that was on Meeting Street in the Eighties. I looked in a journal I wrote in after a 1988 trip. A manager at Bubba Gump's clued me in too. It was in the Ice House, which became subdivided into a row of shops. It was a good idea to change over since it allowed local restaurants and famous chains to replace the ice-cream parlors.

Yes and I remember my first home on the Isle of Palms- bought for $13,000- no one wanted to cross the old Cooper River Bridge- I was the first over the new old bridge, and I use to dance at the Mouse Trap on Coleman, and my children learned to walk up the huge dunes at the end of the Isle of Palms- before the Wild Dunes development- and occasionally you would run into someone who actually spoke in Gullah.......

I still remember when there were beautiful oak trees in between the lanes on Rivers Ave. (the dual lane) from the railroad station out to where Northwoods Mall is now. I remember how sad we were when they cut them down to widden the road. I remember when I-26 only went to the northbridge and I remember the day it opened up to the city. I remember when there was only 1 Cooper river bridge and it was 2 way. I remember the big accidents on it.

I was reading some old articles a few weeks ago, about how the airport has grown, and it's amazing how much it's grown in 10 years, let alone 15.

Remember when:

- When it was a big deal for flights to Dulles to go from turbo-prop to a commuter plane? Now, they want big planes.
- Air South failed?
- 31 daily flights in a day (in the mid 90s)
- Flights to Jacksonville
- Midway flying to Raleigh, later failing
