They also have Post and Couriers archived up until now.

I quit reading the Newsless Courier when they called for a violent revolution because Richard M. Nixon resigned.

But, thanks for the link.

No, I don't know what has happened to it. I live on James Island, so I haven't been back there.

I have some more remembrances. Remember 10 years ago when Cane Bay was not even thought of?

I remember when Harris Teeter opened on the corner of Folly and Harborview on JI; had the reputation for being the 'hoity-toity' grocery store.

When the County Park first opened on Folly.

When you could drive to Kiawah and still see the dunes as you made the left turn to go on the island (one of the biggest shocks I had when we moved back was seeing that huge ugly shopping center there).

Q107 with Michael D and Kato, and Dr. Barry Hill, and all the zany things they did (remember the Moose hunts?)

I should probably open a new topic with this, but what do you remember from Hugo?

Chief Greenberg directing traffic on JI, corner of Folly and Harborview.

Going to work at Roper 3 days after the storm, no traffic lights; only lights you could see in the city going across the JI bridge were from the hospitals.

Everyone eating high off the hog for a few days while the freezers were being emptied, then warming up Campbell's soup on the grill, and heating water in the fireplace.

Again, Q107 being the only station on the air and the fantastic effort they made in coordinating relief supplies coming into town.

What a great topic this is!

Dizzy Lizzy's Was my favorite place to go in the mid to late 80's! Had alot of friends there that I lost contact with after moving back to Washington. I miss sitting on the front porch listening to the music and hanging out with great people!
