I have tons of stuff that I would like to donate to either one of these organizations. Trying to figure out which would be the best place to donate to. Looking to donate stuff such as: Clothes, shoes, bedding, shower curtains and hooks, curtains, etc.

Flying, do you have a link or more information about where you donate? Maybe I will make my yearly tax deductible donation to them next year.

I like to support the Kidney Foundation, and they'll check back with you throughout the year after you've donated to see of you have any other donations they can pick up.

I think any of these agencies would put your donations to good use! Some by directly donating them to those in need, some by reselling what they can, and using those funds to help those in need, or in the case of the Kidney Foundation, to help further their mission. Not to add to your sorting things out, but Crisis Assistance can also use your donations! They have more and more people coming to them for help these days.

I meant to come back and post this - so thanks for doing it!

While all the groups listed are worthy, I really like the when you donate to Crisis Assistance the items go directly to the needy. And there are so many needy in Charlotte!

When you give to Good Will they use your stuff to stock their stores, which does create work/jobs for people. But with certain items I just prefer to know the item went to an actual needy person
