they are scam houses. a lot of times the computers have keyloggers on them and they steal your information. You have to register give out personal info and give your credit card info why anyone gullible for this and take this riskfor a business that will disappear in 2 months. I understand why this unregulated industry and no sales tax is being banned its for public safety.
Public safety? Hardly. It's being banned because the government hasn't figured out how to get their share, and because too many influential people feel the need to tell me how to run my life. If the government would go back to running the country and let the people handle themselves, we'd all be better off.
Legalize, regulate, and tax gambling and marijuana, and the national debt will go away quickly. Between the money brought in and the tax dollars no longer being wasted on pointless enforcement and related crime, there'd be plenty of money to cover the current shortfalls.
Maybe we could even afford to invade another country.

Not sure where you have been or if you've just read that somewhere but its far from the truth. To play the online sweepstakes machines you insert CASH into the atm like machine (it accepts $1's, $5's, 10's and 20's) and then bet anywhere from 25 cents and up and you play the machine just like at a real casino. There is no credit card required. I've only been to the sweepstakes cafe's and played a handful of times while out with friends and in my experience I won and left ahead 3 out of 5 times playing so I can't agree they are a scam. None of us was ever asked for credit card info or anything like that to play
I have never seen one of these places. Does the sign actually read, "BIZ CENTER" ? That is hilarious! It might as well be, "Funny Bidness Center"
I think the government wants to force all the gambling activity to Wall Street so the big banks can steal more of our money!!! (sorry, just can't miss an opportunity)
The place is still in the strip mall near my house... no sign saying Biz Center anymore. Plenty of people in there gambling, and smoking (isn't smoking indoors banned too?!?) Maybe it's a "private club" now?

Can't speak to the smoking but they tried to ban these places but the owners keep figuring out loopholes in the law.

There's a relatively new one at SRN and Monroe roads. It's two rows of computer screens with games on them, and a lot of cigarette smoke.
