Saw a very cool show last night on TV called lkntv! We now have our own tv show how cool! Showed some lake footgae, some bar footage, a nice interview with an older couple who have the coolest custom restored old taxi cab I ever saw at a car show, and a few other neat things. Pretty cool! They have a website too with past shows and a forum on there. Thought I'd share with ya let me see if I can post a link.. to LKNTV.com LKNtv - Lake Norman Television
Yeah, I already started a thread about this weeks back. I especially love how 99% of the time that show makes everyone up here look like a bunch of drunk rednecks with money to burn.
I think it is aired on public access trough TWC. The gov't channel is Channel 16.
EDIT: UGH thanks LKN TV. After watching that hideous white trash episode I am now convinced that I need to move back down the road to Charlotte proper ASAP.
That was pretty stupid.. what are you guys complaining about? You must not like women, or you must be jealous.
Seems like a great show to me, wow the car show stuff was horrible! How terrible of them, and wow a photoshoot with a bike and models.. on my god what is this world coming to?
GREAT show, very entertaining. I hope they keep it up!!!
The show is ovious on a low budget. The sound bytes was at different pitches sometimes even a echo. Nothing against the model I just didnt see the point that has do with some remodel bike.
None of the clips show a family with kids thank goodness with all the drinking that is displayed through out the broadcast.
No clips of the beautiful sailboats or the inside of the Yacht club. No clips of governers island. No clips of the steam boat or Lady of the Lake Dinner cruise, no clips of people playing putt putt at Queens Landing. I havent seen clips of fishing or people enjoying the beautiful parks that surround the lake.
No clips of Hot Air Balloon rides. No clips of the beautiful entertainment at the dueling Piano Jokers Piano Bar.
It just a big ol ad for partying that might as well have beer sponsors, hooters, and maxim sponsors
The examples I mention what isnt shown is the lake I know and enjoy not some show that is encouraging operating a boat or PWC under the influence.

Amen, Sunny. Amen. That is what I said on the old thread I started about this show. I am personally embarrassed to have anyone outside the area see that as they will think I live in nothing but a drunken redneck haven when this area is much different.
Although I will say that what you see there is why I do NOT go out in LKN. My social life is in Charlotte where people display a little more class.
have nothing to do with the show I just generally don't like whiners in life, they serve no purpose it could be about this, NASCAR or anything else u wanna whine about. People like you will find anything and everything to whine about in life and it's pathetic. You probably got beat up alot in school and had your lunch money taken haha
I think this focus on a particular GROUP in the Lake Norman area, not necessarily the entire population of Lake Norman residents. It's only a TV show.
If it were a bunch of Gothic people suckin on each others necks called "LKNGOTH" or something, would everyone assume thats how the Lake Norman folks are? noooo...
I have yet to watch this LKNTV because I have satellite and I dont believe its aired on satellite, but I wouldnt judge the entire lake community by one show.
And lastly, did someone say ass crack on a bike model? Maybe its time to switch to cable? LOL....jk
