Hi everyone!!
We are finally relocating to NC this summer and love the South Charlotte area. Looking for a wonderful development for my family.
Any suggestions? Price range $400,000- 500,000.
Likes:larger lot size, great amenities in rec. center, close to Ballantyne area for work commute. We got to drive thru Marvin Creek on our last visit and fell in love with it. Anything like that would be a big +

Thanks in advance for any help!!

longview in marvin comes to mind. Their rec space is awesome and you can definitely get the lot size you want.

I love Providence Plantation...they have great lot sizes. I am not sure about their amenities, though.

Just to clarify, because a lot of newcomers seeem to make this mistake, South Charlotte is South Charlotte and Marvin is in another county all together (Union). It's much further out of town. But if you're commuting to Ballantyne, you should be fine.

Sorry, I should have specified that since this will be a new comer. Marvin is a quick 5-10 min drive to Ballantyne, yet is in a diffrent county. And you surely can't beat the schools in Marvin! It's actually my favorite area of all of the surrounding Charlotte. Though I live in Waxhaw and love it!

Most new neighborhoods in UC have nice ammenities (pool, clubhouse, tennis, basketball). Providence Plantation has pool, tennis courts along w/swimteam, tennis leagues. Marvin has some great neighborhoods and homes. We went to a basketball game tonight at Marvin Ridge. One negative I realized... we wanted to get a bite to eat, it seemed like there was no place nearby. Had to drive 15-20 min to get food..

Longview for <$500,000 ???? I hope the market doesn't get to that point!
