Went into Teeter this a.m. and their everyday price on organic milk is now $6.79/gallon....a 13% increase, btw.

Lowes Foods $5.89/gallon
Trader Joe's $5.99/gallon
Food Lion doesn't sell it by the gallon, think it's $3.29 for 64oz.
I'm sure Wal-Mart has a cheaper option, but it'd be off-set in gas money.

So, what are my other options in Charlotte? Anyone know the Bi-Lo, Aldi, Target prices off-hand?

I wouldn't walk to the end of my driveway to save only $.80. If I happened to already be in my car, I might drive that distance. If you're doing much of your shopping at HT, it's not worth your time or the gas to get the milk anywhere else.

HT does an EVIC deal organic milk occasionally, so keep an eye out for that.

I got an email from the Atherton Market this morning, with this info:
Make a stop by Simply Local this week and sign up for the Milk Buyers Club! Your member card will award you a free gallon or half-gallon of milk after you purchase 6.

Simply Local represents several local farms & dairies, and can be found at Atherton Market. From Simply Local's facebook page, I found this link with more info -

March News, Happenings & Celebrations

I don't know the prices!

Yeah - that's what they are counting on, I guess.

We actually do 95% of our shopping at Trader Joe's and fill-in around it....I find that their organic tends to be the same as HT's non-organic.

I have not seen organic milk at Aldi - do they have it? I have to admit I do like the taste of organic milk but at that price - no thanks...

They have organic soy milk, but not organic cow's milk.

It is $5.97 VIC card price. Take the 3 minutes and get a VIC card.

I have VIC card, but I'm looking for a long-term solution and unfortunately the milk had a March 18th expiration anyway.

As an aside, I've noticed that HT will often run a temporary VIC promo in conjunction with a long-term price increase.

The last time I bought it was at TJs, and I'm pretty sure I paid about $6 for it.
