I think it would be cool to live there. I used to stay with my grand dad when he lived on Pine Street near Michael's decades ago when I would buy his cigars at the then corner shop. The location is great. There are winos and other sorts that are in the parks after dark and I would be cautious walking around after bar closings. But, it would be no different than living in any good downtown area of a large city. You can walk anywhere and everything can be found within a 10-15 minute walk. I am picky at where I live, but I would not have a problem living in 4th Ward. As a matter of fact, I think it would be cool.
