Here is what it looks like (last week). Took these last week for zillow. Looks sorta like fescue right now. Come June/July it will be full green while everyone else fescue has tapped out though lol

The zone on the right of the driveway (you cannot really see it in the pics) has a ton of shade from that tree, so it struggles to grow there. Too much shade, and that tree eats up all the water/nutrients via its roots also. I am not really sure what to do there, grass wise.

did you put ithe Zoysi in yourself or did somebody else install the sod?

If you are looking to slowly convert your yard over, you can simply buy some plugs and and a plugger (or used a post hole digger), set them in the yard, and they will slowly take over.

If I may "jump" on and ask. My front lawn is on a slope down to the street. It's full of weeds as well. Husband was thinking of sodding with zoysia or seeding with the warm season/winter rye as well. But my fear is that it will wash downward to the street. I was think of tiering it out a bit instead and just mulch and some plants with only grass toward the house where it's flat.

Or will grass do well on a slope?

pgmommie, I bought it and had my neighbor install it. He runs his own landscaping company and had a truck to move it to the house from Supersod. Supersod will deliver the pallets to your house though for a few extra bucks, which is nice.

Yeah frewroad I started plugging along the left side of the house with some leftover strips I cut. Plugging works well when it's hot, and definitely requires full sun and water). Zoysia repairs itself pretty fast with the proper know how. Very similar to bermuda. A lot of people become frustrated at plugging because they do not water it enough. Below are 2 pics of mine before and after. I had it installed on a VERY hot day (that crazy 2 week heat wave we had in early June last year) and almost lost a few sections. But after a few weeks and consistent water it repaired itself 100%.
