The voting window was not shrunk. You have been misinformed again.
I see nothing wrong with preventing people from registering until they turn 18. It's a pointless, and costly step, to maintain registration records of people who can't vote and who may not even be living in NC when they can.
Lol, what does any of these measures have to do with preventing voter fraud? Absolutely nothing and your failure to address the NRA membership and gun permit...but not accept student ID or same day registration.
And what is wrong with registering 16 and 17 year olds...because they might move or costly?...this has got to be big damn joke. At least try to make some sense on the nonsensical.

I did address it.
Student IDs, NRA memberships & gun permits are not accepted. You were wrong on that. They are not government issued IDs. Airlines won't take them either to board a plane. I shouldn't be allowed to vote with an ID issued by Debbie's Beauty College.
I didn't address same day registration because you didn't raise it as an issue.
1) The early voting window shrunk from 17 days to 10
And you left out the part that state law required the local BOEs to operate the same number of hours before the change. Mecklenburg did this by opening for longer hours and on Sunday. This was done to accommodate the working people.
Early voting was up 22% in this election than it was during the 2010 midterms. It was so easy to vote that even celebrity convicted felons had no issue.
All this voter suppression nonsense is just silly partisan conspiracy theory not supported by any facts.
2) The provision that disallows people from registering at 16 or 17 impacts the young.
LOL how does this impact the young?? When you turn 18, you register to vote and then go vote. It's what I did and millions of people before me. Why should a 16 year old be even eligible to tie up resources going through a process that is basically a waste of time at that point just so they can vote in 1+ years? It's literally one of the few times I have ever seen the government recognize an issue, change it and better leverage the resources you got while still NOT LIMITING that person in the least bit to vote.

I registered at 17 at my high school in NC 20 years ago 8 or 9 months before the first election I was eligible for. I probably would not have registered if this wasn't an option. This is clearly meant to prevent young people from voting in elections. Of course changing this will limit young people from voting.
The idea that this "ties up resources" is simply foolish. Just how many "resources" does it take to record one person's name and address?

So you are saying that you would not have voted in the past 20 years if you had to wait a few more months to registers? LOL.
I consider that an issue of upbringing. It's not an issue for the taxpayers & state.

I hate that people resort to using "well back in the day" rationale for their point of view. Fact is there are multiple forms of ID that can be used including a free one from the DMV. This does NOT target any specific demographic as it applies to everyone, rich/poor, black/white, dem/rep.
Thanks Waldo for continuing to inject actual fact.
And I'm sure that you believe that allowing poll watchers from anywhere in the state isn't voter intimidation.
Another mark on his outstanding character. It totally shows his complete disregard for the system and the law. He should be in prison now. He should not have any luxuries of preparation.
Yes, and it also shows how stupid Charlotte City voters are. He's been a well-established huckster for the entirety of his life and the entirety of his City carreer, and yet Charlotte liberals couldn't do better than that??? Talk about apathy.
