There are always plans to deal with rioting/demonstrations. I am sure the brass at CMPD are well aware of the situation and have made additional preparations to include more officers on duty, all officers on-call, and arrangements for outside assistance from NC Highway Patrol and other agencies. However, if SHTF on a full scaled no department or organization can be truly be ready until it starts to unfold and it is determined what resources are needed where.
P.S. Grand Juries bring indictments not verdicts, guilty or innocent is decided at a trail, at a grand jury they weigh evidence to bring charges. If they decide not to indict the DA can always try again, as NC did with Kerrick. If it was a trail, it would be one and done. This is far from over.
Just wondering...cause I think this is going to be a national disaster when the grand jury finds the cop innocent.
Why do you expect events there to directly lead to evets of concern here? Or was your intent here to simply light a fuse, step back and watch the comments?
We're already in a state of "national disaster"... Let's just keep pissing off the poor people, I'm sure we can just keep giving law enforcement more and more power to violate basic civil rights. What could possibly go wrong?
LOL if you think this will impact Charlotte. ClevelandMike, who do you think will be mad about this verdict and what are your thoughts on whether or not those people are good tippers? (for reference, see //www.city-data.com/forum/charl...servers.html)?)
