When we lived on Man of War the speeding was SOOOO bad. It was especially crazy in the morning and afternoon w/ the traffic from Marvin Ridge High. We conducted several traffic studies over several years and tried to get speed bumps/gates. PD's even hired a police officer to patrol on a regular basis it was so bad. Maybe somehow it has improved since we lived there (3 years ago) but, I would be very cautious about buying on a cut through street.
My family has toured houses in Providence Country Club, Providence Downs and Providence Downs South. Out of all three of them, we loved Providence Downs South the best. We liked the feeling of security when it came to the gated community in PDS and the amenities are amazing. That being said, if the right house came up in the other two communities we would not disregard them. Providence Downs seemed a little "run down" and busy but it's still really nice. Providence Country Club is a little more mature and beautiful, especially if you could find a house on the golf course!
