UNCONFIRMED: It is being speculated that North Carolina's first Shake Shack will open at the remodeled Park Road shopping center in Charlotte next to Burton's Grill.

This space was originally planned for Urban Cookhouse. In fact, their website still has it listed as "opening soon" at this Park Rd location. I work in this area so I'll be happy with either.

It would be great to see a Shake Shack come to Charlotte. Apparently it had been under consideration, but then HB2 put those plans on hold as a means of protest. Perhaps now since the repeal they are looking again.

I reviewed their menu online and everything looks tasty,,,but the bottom line is that it's just a fast food restaurant, albeit a more upscale, but nevertheless a FAST FOOD!

Yes it is upscale fast food, but has developed a very devoted fan base.

Shake Shack is overrated. I went to the one in Atlanta, not impressed.

I like Culver's. Good quality. They are supposed to be opening one in the University area, and they have a location down in Fort Mill across from Carowinds.

Would also like to see a Roy Rogers. Nice new locations are opening in Virginia, Maryland, and New jersey. Also good quality roast beef, burgers, fried chicken.
