After driving by there today (June 7, 2017), it appears Shake Shack will not be acquiring the space beside Burton's Grill after all. The Urban Cookhouse sign was hoisted into place on both sides of the building. I work in this area so I would've been happy with either. Now I am wondering if Shake Shack will be choosing another location.

Glad to see Shake Shack officially coming. Although this story has yet to appear in the paper copy of the Observer this week. I guess space is very limited since they are now down to just 2 sections a day. They really need to get back to the 4 basic sections, national and prominent main section, local/Carolinas news, living, and sports.

I noticed today that Smash Burger is getting ready to open on Park Rd, about 1 block south on Woodlawn. Bring on the burgers!

Wegman's is preparing to enter the Triangle market in NC as it expands further south from Richmond, Virginia. It will indeed be interesting to see if they move further down to Charlotte.
