My wife and I just voted at the Embassy Suites near Concord Motor Speedway. It was the middle afternoon and took about 40 minutes total. There was a decent size line, but it was well run and things kept moving.

It's encouraging that 2.5 million people have already voted so far.

Carmel Commons, in and out in 12 minutes. All the poll volunteers were great and so friendly! Happy voting!

I did notice that the poll workers were younger this time around. No matter what your political persuasion, it is always reassuring to see competent poll workers who are smiling, helpful and eager to answer any questions you may have. It's truly Democracy in action!

I got tired of making calls to the Gaston Co BOE looking for my absentee ballot. I drove over to a nearby town on Saturday where I'd heard there was no lines. I walked in the door, got my ballot and was gone back home in 6 minutes. The folks were very nice and friendly there, too.

I got the pen too. I asked the guy at the door of the voting room if the Board Of Elections were recycling the pens and he said "No, you can keep it." I also got the gold and blue "I Voted in The 2020 Presidential Election" sticker as well. Definitely "souvenir day" at the polls in NC!

In and Out 10 minutes at 10AM this morning.

Got the pen and the sticker. Pen quit working in line at the bank. Knew I should have voted Libertarian.

getatag: You must have gotten the Republican model and it was merely helping you to balance your budget by limiting your spending. No check for you!! I got the Cal Cunningham Signature Roller Ball model, but it leaked in my girlfriend's pocketbook! I'll be biden my time until I see what next year's NC polling places offer. I'm hoping for a Mountblanc Meisterstück Covid-Free Edition!
