Hey guys!~

My 22 year old Godson will be coming to visit from Jersey for about a week. Where would you guys suggest I take him to explore/have a good time. Please don't offer any night clubs! He's pretty mellow, adventurous, loves sports, good food and quite handsome I might add!

Thanks as always!

There were some nice things said about the white water rafting place recently. Do you think he would like that? The city part of Ashville would be pretty cool to someone his age.
Enjoy him

If he loves sports and the outdoors, I would strongly suggest the US National Whitewater Center. It has rafting, of course, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and more. You can rent Mountain Bikes and Kayaks so there's nothing you need to bring.

You didn't indicate when he will be here, but the Panthers are in town this Sunday, 10/19 & 10/26. You could try to get tickets.

He could always meet our daughter. From your limited description he sounds a heck of a lot better than the current love of her life.

Or, how about the McDowell Nature Center and Preserve (Charlotte)?

North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame (Mooresville)?

Mint Museum of Art (Charlotte)?

Laser Quest (Charlotte)?

Carowinds?

Charlotte's Longest Running Daily City Tour?

Have fun with him. By the way, where is he travelling from in Jersey?

I wasn't kidding about my daughter. And since she is a sophomore at Montclair State ... (really, she is ... someone please save her from jerk-of-the-moment).

I was born and primarily raised in Essex County. I attended an all-girl private high school in Upper Montclair, Lacordaire Academy. Ultimatly, I headed to Rutgers in New Brunswick. But, my best memory of kissing a boy is on one of the ball fields at Montclair. We used to sneak onto the grounds at night, begining in high school. OK, and some did more than kiss (but not yours truly). I have stories to share with my daughter when she's 50. The summer she moved in she actually thought it was my first time on campus.

I have also lived in Bergen and Monmouth counties. Prior to moving here, we were in Somerset County (Bound Brook).

The oldest two stayed behind. They have their own lives that don't include us (unless, of course, money is involved). Their primary residence is in S. Plainfield.
