We live in Huntersville in the Birkdale neighborhood (golf course one - not Birkdale Village) and we're looking to hire a kid to mow our lawn. We're not interested in a professional mowing service. We'd rather pay a kid looking to earn a few bucks.

Let me know if you know of anyone who might be interested.

Thanks

I would suggest advertising in the neighborhood. I'm sure someone will volunteer. If not, I'll do it

What is your definition of a kid, and why would you want one over a professional lawn-care service? Are you looking to save money or trying to help a kid learn to earn money?

Many mowing services are losing business to the economy and will work with you on a service. I was in the lawn service business for myself and with my father from 4th grade until I finished college, and then some. I definitely learned that I had earn what I got and respect and thank you if that's what you have in mind.

Question Thread salvage

Boy from down the street was soliciting business to cut grass. I'm tempted, but worried about liability insurance.

Anyone here know anything about this? What if the kid suffered a mowing accident?!

Call your home owners insurance company and ask if the kid would be covered and how much is covered. You don't want him getting hurt then having his family sue you for $2milllion if you are not covered for it.
