It must be really intense for the person behind the wheel. Anyone famaliar with the old Harry Chapin song "30,000 Pounds of Bananas" knows the driver in that song could've used one of those things.

I wonder if the truck is totaled after a violent collision like that? I also wonder how often those get used....I see tracks in them almost everytime I go by one. Although, I doubt they rake those things like sandtraps, still

Because it's really high, it seems like you can fly off the side of that mountain with the slightest screw up, and it's not hard to catch yourself going a lot faster than you should be. It's absolutely beautiful and nerve wracking for me all at the same time.

Then again, I get paranoid driving over the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

Just wash down a Valium w/ a few beers that should loosen you up a bit! Don't want to be too tense while driving. That could cause an accident

(and I shouldn't have to say this, but I was joking)

That sounds like a damn good idea all the same.

Default Ok here is our proposed path

We are doing I-80 East, through Indiana to Ohio, and then grabbing I-77 South all the way down to our new home in South Charlotte!

So we are doing several hours of mountains . I hope there are limited 2 lane roads as those are more disturbing to me.

So we are off in 2 WEEKS. OMG

That'll take you through the WVA mountains. They are not as bad, but, there will be more than just "several hours". Don't remember there being too many 2 lane roads on that route; only have been on it twice now. Wishing you the best!!

That's the way I go all the time. It's not that bad. No two lane roads. Like two hours of WV mountains that start around Charleston and maybe an hour or so of mountains in VA, but they aren't wind-ey like the WV ones.
