Ok. I have a few days alone with my daughter while mom works, she is excited about daddy/daughter days. She wants to go fishing, just me and her.

Where are some good places?

We are in Hemby Bridge but will go anywhere.

Also, any other good ideas for daddy/daughter day?

What can we do that isn't terribly expensive??

Cane Creek Park (Waxhaw) is nice. You can walk the trails and take a picnic lunch as well as fish. They also have a beach and swimming area, paddle boats, mini golf.

There's also a pond across from the Wesley Chapel elementary school and I frequently see people fishing there. I don't know what's in the pond or if it's private property. Maybe someone else here would know.

Cane Creek Park has a 350 acre trophy bass lake. I have never fished there, but the park is very nice.

I've always wondered that too . I always see random people fishing there w/ their cars pulled off to the side so I gather they don't live there?

I am looking for a place to fish within 50 miles of Wingate and Marshville NC. I'm a 54 year old woman. I never got to fish much in my earlier years. Folks don't allow fishing in their ponds unless family and friends. I haven't had success in local lakes.

Badin Lake, Lake Twitty, Cane Creek, Lake Wylie, Lake Norman; there are a ton of places to fish well within 50 miles.
