Can anyone tell me what they will be doing with all the detour signs up? I know there was talk about them closing down Goldmine Rd between Airport and Price Shortcut as part of the airport expansion. Is this permanent? Also, I saw there are detour signs in the other direction of Goldmine as well - coming from the direction of Willow Run. Are they closing that way too?

Anyone? I also noticed yesterday that at the other end of Sanford where it meets Price Shortcut there are signs that say "closed to through traffic" sitting on the side of the road. Does that mean they are closing Sanford too?

I wonder if it's a Part B of the MLK widening project? For all of the crying our officials do about a lack of road money, it's amazing how these projects seem to pop up from nowhere!

No, definitely not a part of the MLK project. I was surprised to see all that too....considering folks on our main road drive down the middle to avoid the many holes and patches on either side.

I've heard that Goldmine is going to be rerouted to accommodate the airport expansion but also heard it was only going to be closed a few weeks. That doesn't make sense so I'm really not sure. It was supposed to be closed yesterday, but wasn't.

Thanks so much!!! We live less than 1/2 mile from Goldmine and I have a lot of clients who come from that direction. At least now I will be able to give them some answers.

I'm just glad there's finally going to be a clear way down these roads from 74.
