I just opted for the internet which was Earthlink and I pay 30 a month for 6 months but after that its 50 a month. When the 6 months is up though I plan to call Time Warner to see if I can stay on the 30 dollar a month internet plan. I will just tell them that I moved here without a job and that I am still unemployed so maybe they will feel sorry for me and let me have the 30 dollar a month internet plan

Being in an apartment, you may be subject to the apartment's dictating which company you can (or can't) use. Every apartment I've lived in (none in Charlotte) offered only one provider for all services.

However, if you find a complex that allows for any service you wish, Time Warner is all over the Charlotte region. As is the obvious choice of satellite for TV. Although, I'm fresh off of a bait and switch tactic form DirecTV, so I won't be recommending them...

Most likely it will be Time Warner Cable. You may also get a bundle from ATT but internet will not be as fast and not all places have their TV service available.
