Look at Concord/Harrisburg area (NE of Charlotte), Lake Norman area (north), Belmont/Mt. Holly area (west), and the Ft. Mill/Lake Wylie/Clover area (south).
I think you may want to first focus on what is most important to you in a home, for example, do you need to be near a specific location? Are you looking for newer vs. older homes? Price point? This may help people be able to give you better suggestions that would meet your needs. Best of luck
If $$ is not a huge issue, yes look at univeristy or Concord and surronding areas. I work in University area and it's pretty congested. You won't beleive it until you see it, but you'll adjust.
Union county is nice too, you can build a decent home instead of buying an existing home, thats one of the great things about Charlotte, it's a newly developed city, there aren't many 100 year old homes around.
No I haven't. I ment to write that for older homes in Charlotte. Ooopps.
