Hello. I currently live in Jackson, MS and don't like it here very much. I'm interested in a career change and definately relocation to get out of Mississippi. I'm starting my research with the Charlotte because it is within an easier driving distance to my hometown and family in Southeastern Ohio. I've found out so far that Charlotte is meeting some of my basic lifestyle criteria (i.e. climate, geography, recreation, etc.). Can anyone give me some insight as to the Charlotte lifestyle such as cost of living, career opportunities, etc. I am grounded in manufacturing field and have heard that Charlotte does have some manufacturing opportunities. Any advice or comments for a newcomer Charlotte would be greatly appreciated.
Charlotte does have a very strong economy. As far as job-specific info, go the route businessperson said.
You should like the Charlotte area. There are some very nice areas to choose from, nice 4-season climate, good recreational assets. Just pm me if you want more details.
