At first I was going to post this question on the "house" forum, but I believe my issue is specific to this area because of the water: I can't seem to get my clear glass shower doors completely clean. In FL and NJ I used Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner and it works just fine, not in NC! Any suggestions? Could it possibly have something to do with the water here? I can't stand foggy/filmy glass shower doors. YUCK!

I don't know how to clean them, but our new house has a clear glass shower. My wife makes my squeegee the glass after every shower to prevent the problems you're describing. Maybe she really does know what she's talking about.

Yes, she does know her stuff!
Squeegee does work the best. I am going to try bathroom cleaner and the Magic Eraser next. Magic Eraser really does work well in bathrooms just like on the commercial, but I have not tried it on glass yet. I'll let you know!

cleaning it with shaving cream will stop it from fogging. For cleaning mildew buildup I use pure ammonia but be sure a window is open and not to to have it near clorox or any type of bleach cleaner. You might have a lime buildup as well.

I love Magic Eraser too, but it just doesn't cut it on my shower doors. I'm going to try ammonia next. I remember when my Mom used to make us squeegee the shower walls, and I used to hate it! Now I know why she was so insistant! Mother always knows best...hate to admit it!!!

Once you get the doors clean again, give them a light coat of Rain-X on the inside of the door. That was a tip from our cleaning guy, and the doors do stay pretty clean

My pet peeve with shower doors is soap scum buildup. After cleaning the shower, I use Old English Lemon Oil on the glass. This prevents the soap scum buildup, but unforunately, it does leave a slight foggy film.
