My wife and I are headed to Charlotte for a house hunting trip. We are thinking of spending Sat. night in the city. Where area should I stay in?

We are looking for a safe, upscale area that we could walk to go out and eat and wander around a bit.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Courtyard Marriott is on Tryon I think at 2nd or 3rd. Right in the heart of the city. If you decide to stay uptown though, keep in mind the St. Patrick's Day parade is this Saturday and uptown will be pretty rowdy. You might want to consider the Southpark area. There are a lot of great restaurants and things to dob ut you'd need your car to get around. When/where are you house hunting?

Good idea Mullman. That's a beautiful hotel and you could walk to Upstream, Dean & DeLuca Wine, Roosters and Harpers.

Default Not sure if this matters but

We will be looking up and around Lake Norman, not sure if that matters to the discussion. We dont have to be up there until Sunday. Thanks again for the help.
