My thoughts and prayers to those affected. One officer down at current time.

Latest:
- Shooter started at Navy recruiting center at Lee Hwy and Hwy 153
- Then he drove to Naval reserve center on Amnicola near DuPont Bridge. I believe this is where all the deaths occured.
- Police engaged him at second location (it's basically across the road from several police buildings). One officer was injured with a shot in the leg

At last count as of 3:30pm, 4 military members dead, shooter dead, 1 police officer injured, 3 other people injured. All lockdowns have been lifted, but investigation continues.

Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, originally from Kuwait, is the gunman identified. 'Religion of Peace' strikes again.

RIP to the brave Marines.

True, both the recruiting office and the reserve center were signed for "no guns". The service members inside were dutifully obeying the law, were unarmed, and were unable to defend themselves. I honestly don't see how the shooter was able to kill anyone in a place where guns were illegal. Ref "GunBuster" sign in pic:

For what it's worth, two co-workers confirmed they attended UTC with the guy. They said he was always trying to cheat and copy homework, was always blaming others for his problems, got busted in a cheating scandal, and was phenomenally dumb. The only way he graduated was by cheating.

Another terrible shooting. It is over and over in this country. Very sorry for these poor victims and their families. I wonder why we never really hear about what I am about to say, but it should be said. Every Mass shooting that this country has had for many years now, the shooter is always a young male in his early to mid 20's. They are usually white, though this latest one is originally from Kuwait. Though he basically has grown up in this country. It's true we never hear this trait/pattern about the shooters, and in my view it has to be addressed.
