I am from The Netherlands, but had the opportunity to work for a couple of months at The Chicago Mercantile Exchange. At our offices we used to call it "the Merc". Every time I see the pictures of this great city, I want to head to the airport and catch a flight. What an atmosphere this great financial city gives....I used to stay nearby the Chicago Mercantile Exchange building at 20 S. Wacker Drive. Anyone some pictures of the building? Best regards, Hiranjgarbh K K Missier. By the way, I will visit this super city again in September, 2016 at the Brokers Conference

This place is so beautiful that I want to cry ;'). Wow, there are only certain parts of Manhattan near Midtown when you can finally feel the space between the buildings which I like instead of congested as hell.

Damn, if the weather wasn't so bad, I would totally consider this .

I'm thinking Philly or Pittsburgh later on though, but with Rochester and Buffalo as well as others in the Northeast for Med School.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, amazing!

If weather deters you from Chicago, I wouldn't be considering Buffalo or Rochester...

Nah, I know, but the schools are a bit more lenient since they like to see people that are a bit more well rounded like myself.

You won this round man .

Chicago looks like it kicks ass though. Birthplace of Math Rock man

I lurk this feed while thinking the same thing quite often. I truly love Chicago. We were so close to moving there before deciding on New Orleans...and ultimately I had to be honest with myself about the weather and our low tolerance for cold. I love Chicago for many of the same reasons I love N.O. and many more, but I was born and raised in the South and the sort of cold experienced in Chicago is just unbearable to me. Hell I stay inside when it drops below 50 down here...

Though still, I often ponder how long it would take to acclimate to the climate. Chi-Town has a piece of my soul...no denying
