i have been looking in lincoln park lakeveiw and wrig ville. as i said before. i think i may have to broaden my horizons. any one know or surrounding areas that would fit in with these ones?

If you could elaborate as to what you are seeking and what isn't meeting your needs in the three neighborhoods you mentioned it would help us in our responses.

Is the issue price? Or something more?

i am looking for a sublet/three month lease and its proving difficult. i am on craigslist everyday before anyone says it! i am looking for a 3bd place in these areas for june july and august

You could go further north up the lakefront. Starting at Lakeview/Wrigleyville and proceeding north the progression is as follows:
Buena Park/Uptown
Uptown
Edgewater
Andersonville(western side of Edgewater further away from the Lake, but a cool neighborhood, very much like Lakeview)
Rogers Park

The "el', Red Line, is walkable from any of these areas.

Besides CL, check out the Chicagoreader.com as they are the next biggest source of rentals. Finding someone wanting to sublet or give a 3 month lease for a specific time period could be challenging, but not impossible.
