Yes they are 2 of my favorites.

I watched WI Foodie-he was at San Giorgio and the Calderone Club. Was intrigued. I know it is not Chicago style pizza. But would try it. Told hubby we might need a weekend in Milwaukee.

Son is the Fire Chief in Sussex and the grandson goes to Concordia and is on the baseball team. So a long weekend in Milwaukee might be good.

I knew the traffic here was going to be bad, but I didn't anticipate this rat race. This is much worse than Phoenix.

I ended up going to El Mana on Fullerton and 45. Small place, good food. Only 1 person spoke English. Authentic.

We will be in Phoenix in a few weeks. Any authentic Mexican restaurants you recommend? I have looked at Yelp etc. but still like inside opinion.

Our daughter and family just moved back from Eagle River Alaska to Wisconsin. They were there for 6 years. We loved visiting but our happy to have them back home again.

When I lived in Phoenix many moons ago, my favorite Mexican restaurant was Popos Fiesta Del Sol. Its been over a decade since I've eaten there, so can't vouch for the quality (although it seems well reviewed). I would get the chimichanga topped with sour cream and jalapeno cream cheese. Yum!
Although I realize its not really an authentic Mexican dish, I still want it!

quigboto, good morning,

And ODDLY, in Spanish, "popos" is sometimes used for the word "poop".

BON APPETIT! (even though THAT is French!)

I suggest a Mexican restaurant in Pilsen which is out of the ordinary. It's Quesadilla Pilsen and is located at 1519 W. 18th St.

This is a vegetarian Mexican restaurant. I love everything about this place: the fresh ingredients, the drinks, and the friendly wait staff.

Among the menu items a group of us have tried are Carnitas Huarache, Tinga, Asada, and Pastor Taco. All of these are made with 'soy' meat. I'm looking forward to trying La Reina Del Sur on a return visit.

Thursday nights feature karaoke, and there is Sunday brunch offered at this hidden gem.

Highly recommended.

Why not? That's where the best mexican food is.
