Amen! I was just reading Galatians 2 last night and the Holy Spirit showed me this same truth. I am justified by faith, not by observing the law.

I am perfect in God's eyes yet in my own eyes I am not; yet I strive to be like God. God sees me though the blood of Jesus that was shed for me. I strive to be like Jesus but I know I am not perfect.I am humbled by his holiness. I will be changed in a twinkling of an eye and will reign with Christ. I am a work in progress and with help through the grace of God along with the Holy Spirit that teaches me daily.

Nope, far from it also.

Whatever sin or mistake we have made, we can be forgiven by God, if we believe in him and agree with living His words. Changing of lifestyle, no alcohol or drugs, and living pure is the way to Jesus and God. No, you still won't be perfect, but you can live a more clean, pure life though. And people respect you more when you do. God bless...

It's truly amazing to me that there are six people who voted YES, they are indeed perfect. I know who they are, but it's just flabbergasting that they really believe it. Explains a lot.

This idea about perfection is meant to divide the individual and create an anxiety between what you are and something that someone else thinks you should be. You are no longer satisfied with your own being because a "someone better than you" has been presented to you, and now you are just not quite good enough. There is a condition to fulfill something in the future that cannot be fulfilled, and so it creates a longing and an anxiety and feelings of unfulfillment in you. That's what religion has basically taught. That we are not perfect and need something more to reach a state of perfection. If you follow a formal religion, you know what those terms are because religions define them. Nature, on the other hand, does not deal in terms of perfection. It leaves that to our human imagination. If you have managed to survive birth and have some years behind you, this existence (or nature) has seen you as being good enough, just like everything else that exists in life, be it plant or animal.
