We need to serve God by promoting His word and fighting the evil of this world. There are laws that should not even be consided if Christians had adhered to their mission instead of getting sidetracked by worldly gain.
Sorry for rambling but so much to say that falls on deaf ears. Politics is a way today for Christians to fight evil and we need all the support we can get considering we will be the enemy of this world once again.

And yet Jesus was very clear: "he who lives by the sword will die by the sword." Whether we take this literally or symbolically, I think His message was clear: violence begets violence.
And, looking at Jesus' actions, we see the highest degree of love: suffering unjustly willingly. He laid down His life, and gave us this example to follow. He never used violence, and neither did His disciples/apostles. Never.
That is why those who throw bombs and talk of revolution are wrong. They haven't been converted, they live according to the flesh. Furthermore, they don't understand that one government replaces another, but the same tyranny just keeps on going. It'll never stop. For the Christian, our warfare is not carnal, but spiritual. Calling people to reconciliation with their Maker.
The only way to stop the tyranny is by following Christ. God is our only Savior. We can trust Him, because He is faithful and true. He protects us, He guides us, and He teaches us. We don't need to rely on human government when we have Christ. He is the end of the Law to those who believe. That is how we are set free.
People talk about being free, and living in a free country. But their freedom is not real. They live under the illusion of freedom. The only true Freedom is in Christ.
