studying the chart, we'll get the information required to determine the first day - midpoint - last day of the tribulation - the second coming, the man of sin, the relations between the blood red moons, plus more heavenly signs pointing towards the Great Tribulation.

The Rapture is a bit more complicated issue... It is expected to happen in the first half of the tribulation but we cannot know when exactly... It is now clear that we can't escape the whole 7 years as we've been in the tribulation for like 2 years. We have no reason to leave until things start to go really bad. However, we have every reason to expect the rapture to happen in the fall of 2010.

For more explanation on this whole topic and the rapture, I suggest you read www.signsofthetimes777.webs.com (http://www.signsofthetimes777.webs.com - broken link)
Hope springs eternal!

Thrill - don't get too excited.

This thread is not representative of what Jesus said about knowing the day He would return.

Matthew 24:36-39 - " "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 "For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Acts 1:7 - He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;

I was going to buy a t-shirt that said that.

I know someone who after 30 odd years of being a christian and big into end time "ministry"*, having just had fresh understanding of the kingdom of God being within, which he described to being pure bliss, has let go of his attachment to it.
*Speculation.

No one knows when the world will end, I wish people would stop trying to predict it. It will come when we least expect it.

I think the worst part of this end time mindset is how it affects the believers bias and worldview. "The world is wicked and getting worse" is what they have to seek out and confirm to themselves to keep their belief system. The data simply does not back that up. There are some amazing things happening and I believe us sinful little humans are turning a corner as we speak. Your fear is keeping you from missing all of it. I will start a thread with the data to back up that the world, is in fact, getting better. Don't be afraid.
