Sin??? What sin??? Clearly some people need to do it more often than they are doing it right now, if you ask me. Backs up in some people's brain and next thing you know, they're cursing you out on the train for breathing the same air as them and then you're lost and looking at them like this ----->

That is really funny, Insane! When I see a person wearing a "Masturbate more often" tee shirt, I will know it is you.
I can't believe adults are even having this conversation. Good grief..........
I'm with you on this, dude, but since I was once on this path (Christianity) as a teenager with NATURALLY raging *ehem* and nowhere to put 'em BUT at the same time being taught that one was not supposed to think about "doing the nasty" with anyone to lead to getting "intimate" with oneself. Basically, you were screwed, if I can say that. Now think long and hard (no pun intended) on that and tell me if that is not a recipe for insanity (might explain my screen name...lol).
I did not know which one was more ridiculous:
1. Muttering to Jesus about forgiving sins all day just in case he showed up in the rapture or
2. Trying to deflect NATURAL thoughts about sex as not to masturbate.
Frankly it is rather sad, but instead of proper advice from many folks, a biblical reply is given which actually, when you think about it, NEVER, EVER, EVER addresses the problem. It's like sticking a cup of water in the midst of a 5-alarm fire.
Actually I cant because I struggle with the very thing myself. I have trained my mind to only see my wife when the urge strikes even if looking at porn, lord forbid, I see my wife and myself together at various stages of our lives. The only scripture is the one I offered which enabled me to focus on my wife and I am never disappoint in our sex lives because she is my focus sexually. I beleave Paul said that if you cannot contain yourself then marry.
Thread trolls on ignore.
Thanks Robin. I was just wondering. It is a delicate subject and it's always going to be a struggle.
It's like people that have food addictions. It's always difficult when your issue is something that at it's core, is a gift from God.
I appreciate your honesty but I am of the opinion that all lust is sin. Lust for sex. Lust for money. Even lust for my wife. I believe a passionate desire is completely healthy but the word "lust" tends (in my opinion) to degrade her to an object rather than a person. Like I said, I don't necessarily agree that 100% of masturbation is sin, but I also wouldn't go so far as to say there's healthy lust.
All that said, you're not alone, brother, and I'm actually in small group settings with several men that are working towards greater purity in their lives and thought lives. Keep the faith, man.

You make a very good point so I would prefer to say I desire my wife instead of lust for her. I can see the difference, lust is self gratification while desire can be mutual gratification. She has given me permission to self gratify(masterbate) if the urge sould rise and she is not in the mood or present. And I have trained myself to only focus on her when I do so.
Man this is a difficult subject to share with others.
If my husband didn't "lust" after me, I wouldn't have married him. Masturbation is natural.
Why are people so determined to turn natural feelings, reactions, and actions into something bad. Are people that glutton for punishment???

"every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great .... if a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate" - Monty Python
The basic biology is that as you mature you will either need to handle your own or have sex .... if not the storage tanks will empty in other ways, none of which are too pleasant
