V.Q
Which book are you speaking of? I have all the books and most of his videos. Don't recall him setting any dates. As for him calling himself rabbi, he teaches that the Bible and Yeshua/Jesus, say's to call no man rabbi. In the 8 years that we have listened to him, I have never heard him call or refer to himself as rabbi. Even in the teachings that I have gone to I have never heard it. I have however read lot of false statements, that come from folks who don't really check out what they read. Get the answers from the horse mouth. He teaches from the Bible, and HEBREW HISTORY also The Hebrew Roots of our faith. He teaches Torah/N.T. I'am one that looks at things before I make a judgment call, not to judge the person, but what that person is teaching. I don't always take to heart what others say, but I look also at the person.
I wondered, after I had written, if he had changed. I sure hope so. The book I saw was fairly thick and the date was more than 3/4 of the way into it. The store had that book and a couple others. I saw them around the 1998 - 2001, but I don't remember for sure. The date for Messiah's return was very clear, very specific, and I showed it to the store owner. There was No Way I would buy his books, so I have none. Back then, he could not even pronounce the names of the months correctly, and to me, this says a lot about his lack of education. Self-taught is not good enough.
Also, the idea of "Hebrew Roots" has taken on a different meaning than it had some yeaars ago. I still get nervous around people who talk about "Hebrew Roots," because I don't know if they intend the old or the (apparently) new meaning.
The old meaning intended that everyone was trying to claim they had Hebrew heritage when they did not. As I understand the new meaning, is it merely that they are seeking the "Hebrew roots" of the faith but without making claims to family Hebrew heritage, without the faked conversions and calling themselves Jews?

If you adopt a child and raise it as if it were your own does it not share your heritage?...Look at the parable of the Cultured Olive Tree (Israel) and the Wild Olive Tree (Gentiles)...What Root (Heritage) is it that the branches that were broken off from the Wild Olive Tree share with the natural branches?...

Michael has written two books, The Mystery of Iniquity,The Legal prerequisites to the return of the Messiah. What must happen before He can return. Also The Pagan-Christian Connection EXPOSED. The book you speak of would be The Mystery of Iniquity?? I am going back and read it again. I don't remember him saying that Messiah would return at any given date. Just what should happen before he did return. Reading.
And lets NOT forget once you have become one with Israel you are NO LONGER a Gentile, you leave your Gentile nature BEHIND
dcisive,
I guess I have to disagree with you. The Gentiles who become believers remain as G-d created them. We do not become Jews; we remain Gentiles bought with the Blood, entered into Israel with Israel as a part of Israel.
Believers do not replace Israel (if that was your intention). Those who teach that believing Gentiles have usurped the blessings G-d gave to Israel are very, very mistaken. G-d has promised time and again that what He promised Israel remains Israel's.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that we can convert and become Jews; that is a later invention. Those in Messianic communities who so easily call themselves rabbis and who so easily "convert" people, saying they are then Jews are mistaken. Bar- and Bat Mitzvot cannot turn one into a Jew. I was reared Gentile; my mother was a Gentile. I had my Bat Mitzvah a number of years ago, and it did not turn me into a Jew.
G-d wants us to be what He created us to be! We cannot change ourselves into something we are not by sheer will.
I hope that I misunderstood you, dcisive, and in this case, I apologize.
Had it not been for a Hebrew, none of us would have the opportunity to recieve salvation. The roots of Yeshua, are the roots of all who believe in Him.

Looks like The Jewish Root(s) movement should study The Stump 0f Jesse.
I didn't say that it was in The Scriptures. I said, had it not been for a Hebrew, meaning That He Was a Hebrew with Hebrew roots.
Where are Hebrew Roots in Scripture?
