Apostates stand in opposition to God and his son. They are unrepentant--God said--do not even eat a meal with one called a brother who became unrepentant.
No ones--Father, mother, sister, or brother is handing out life everlasting-- God is.
This religious mentality is responsible for the destruction of families and friends.
I hope you repent of your unloving acts before it is too late; and you lose them.

(Attend a softball game with your son, or buy a prom dress for your daughter).

Thank you, I believe this as well, I just wanted to see other opinions, as there are usually many on this subject.

Jehovah does a fine job of dragging his OWN name through the mud, so if anyone needs to repent, it's him. He could take some lessons from L8, the apostate, who I would wager has never ordered genocide or rape or threatened people with death for not obeying her, and who comes across as a kind and respectful person.

JWs and all fundamentalists are cowards. They all run from truth and hide under their little, make-believe umbrellas of special-ness.

I find them contemptible.

Cowards????? Contemptable???? very worthy of you, but not nice.

So the JW's want to knock on the doors of total strangers ....but they will shun and not talk to their own children.

That's cold.

p.s. I'm not a JW. Your beliefs do not apply to me. They apply only to those in your sect. If you want to shake your finger at someone....find a mirror.

That's cold. Religious extremism once again shows its dark heart.
The Jehovah's Witnesses I know Never shun their own minor children. ( visit any Kingdom Hall on Earth )
Adult children who decide to pursue a course of wickedness are avoided except for essential family matters.
If they give up their bad practices they can always return as the prodical son did.
You probably heard the old adage that a rotten apple rots the whole bunch, so why keep company with rotten apples ?
Any comments on 1st Corinthians 5:9-13 ?

Yes. It contradicts what Jesus taught and did. He hung out with all sorts of people, including the prostitute who kept him company while he hung on the cross.

He didn't shun her. He looked into her eyes while he was dying and found comfort from someone who loved him.

Bad practices? You mean, like not believing the same things you do?

Jesus hung out with Judas until the time the heart of Judas became hardened beyond repentance.
Jesus dismissed Judas before he instituted the last supper.

What contradicts what Jesus taught at Matthew 12:32; Mark 3:39; Luke 12:10 ?
