My parents are devout Christians and have devoted 20 years of their lives to being missionaries in India. They give the world love without announcing themselves. You wouldn't know their beliefs unless you asked them--you would just know that they love people and are committed to making everyone feel loved without judgement. I wish all Christians were like them.

The point of a creed is to distinguish between true and false religion.
Right, but when the creed is drawn up by fallible human beings and ratified by majority vote (dissenters being killed or exiled), who's to say how "true" the creed really is.

You're free to make up your own creed and as long as it's Scriptural, there's no problem.
I don't need a creed, but thanks. I guess the closest thing to a creed I believe in is what I already stated: I believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. That's entirely scriptural. The simple truth, no frills.

The Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian creeds are meant to limit ambiguity.
The Bible seems pretty unambiguous to me in terms of how it explains who God is and what the Son's relationship to His Father is. And I wonder how many Christians could even tell you what the Athanasian Creed says. It's certainly not "scriptural" in my opinion.

They're agreed upon as true (definition of creed).
I would agree that those who accept these creeds agree that they're true.

I would agree that your creed is simple. It reminds me of this video:

that video was funny. he did touch on a touchy modern phenomena, most pastor preach it, because it is cool, hip, and brings up the membership #. Of course pastors will try to come up with some scripture to justify it. but it cannot be justified not matter what. this new phenomena is not historical. it is:

The sinners prayer. <---- what rubbish. Any pastor who preaches is, it totally wrong. Notice, i did not say they will burn. they are just plain wrong about some sinners prayer.
I am suprised the video mentioned it. it is almost tabboo to speak against it.

The reason I say that is because generally I don't have pseudo-Christian cultists trying to pass of their religions as Christian to me and others around me.
