Our Halloween night was good. We set up all the lights, lawn ornaments, jack O Lanterns etc a week before. I bought Several dozen Assorted stuffed Halloween bears, zombie bears, cats etc and handed those out to the girls with candy. I bought glow in the dark insects that the boys all loved.
I heard a lot of thanks yous and "I love the stuffed toys" over and over again. We made a lot of kids happy, and that is all that mattered. ALL that Mattered.
I Always enjoyed Halloween. My kids enjoy it as well. I did not know, but they actually give a prize for best decorations in the neighborhood, which may explain why the subdivision is so over -the -top at Halloween. I like it, because holidays add a bit of excitement and celebration to life. They are a chance to get aay from the normal routins of work and school and do something with neighbors and friends for fun.
I would never let some one else tell me what Holidays I can or cannot celebrate. A few have tried in the past, and left beaten and broken after the wailing and gnashing of teeth.
