Is there any way of getting removal of sins committed before baptism in the RCC and the protestant-churches? I read something about belief in Jesus removing all sins, but this don't count for the RCC and protestants? Baptism in catholicism and protestantism is to receive the holy ghost and for entrance into the church community, it doesn't remove any sins?

Churches have varying views on when to baptize and on what baptism accomplishes.

Lutheran doctrine, established in 1580 Book of Concord, teaches that Baptism accomplishes all kinds of things. The person receives the HOly Spirit and is given faith to believe. By faith their sins are washed away, their name is written in the book of life, they are baptized into Christ Jesus, they become part of the body of Christ, they now have eternal life, they are now part of God's kingdom and saved from being part of Satan's kingdom. All this is given by grace in baptism, even when little babies are baptized, for the child also is given faith.

According to Lutheran doctrine, their sins are washed away by faith. Is this after the Baptism, or can one start to believe and have the sins washed away before baptism also?

THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM

1213 Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua),4 and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."5

Christ's Baptism

1223 All the Old Covenant prefigurations find their fulfillment in Christ Jesus. He begins his public life after having himself baptized by St. John the Baptist in the Jordan.17 After his resurrection Christ gives this mission to his apostles: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."18

1224 Our Lord voluntarily submitted himself to the baptism of St. John, intended for sinners, in order to "fulfill all righteousness."19 Jesus' gesture is a manifestation of his self-emptying.20 The Spirit who had hovered over the waters of the first creation descended then on the Christ as a prelude of the new creation, and the Father revealed Jesus as his "beloved Son."21

GINOLJC to all,

good topic,
Was not John’s Baptism of REPENTANCE. but the Lord Jesus Baptize is with the Holy Spirit, himself. and is it not the blood of Christ that take away the sins of the world?. for, so our sins, when we come to Christ are paid for, and forgiven, even before we’re baptized in water. for is it not the confession of Christ, as Lord that is required for salvation?. Romans 10:12 "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. so our salvation, is free, the only cost is to hear. and the hearing produce Faith, in which we believe. and in our belief we call on the NAME of the Lord. hence salvation.

so the non generated person is required only to confess the Lord Jesus as saviour. not his sins, which is paid for, when he comes to Jesus and accept his as Lord, and Saviour, . scripture, Romans 3:24 "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remissionof sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

our Lord died, as verse 25 states, “for the remission of sins that are past”. John baptism was for "the remission sins". the sins that are past are forgive. its the sins in the future that we must deal with as Christians, YES as Christians. and 1 John chapter 1 clearly tells us how to do that. so our Faith in that belief leads to water baptism. for water baptism, is it not the answer of a good conscience toward God, that you believe in HIM for the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. which I have a NEW LIFE in him?. as Christ live, I live in him. and not the washing away of sins from the BODY, as if by some filth, NO, but from the MIND, the giving of a new LIFE. because one can be Holy Spirit baptized, or BORN, before water Baptism. (see Acts chapter 10).

so a non generated person is never required to confess his sins in order to be saved, nor be baptized to be saved from his sins. but one is baptized because they are SAVED. in order to enter into the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ one must die in order to live. baptism washes away the old conscience. for the Lord Jesus don't put new wine into old bottles. belief and salvation goes hand in hand, just as works and Faiths. one cannot work in order to be saved, one work because one is SAVED.

May God bless.

Julian658: You didn't write if this is Catholic or Protestant, or other denomination doctrine.

Remission of sins is the washing away of all past sins. The way you receive remission of sins is through water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.

After water baptism, we still repent everyday because we are flesh and our flesh sins.

Other than THE church of the Bible, everything else is man-made and means nothing at all. Denominations are not Biblical at all and neither is ordination before being able to preach. Thjere is so much that is completely of man and not of God and/or the Bible.
