I have read the bible. Do you have evidence to substantiate that it is "God's word"?
John 12:48 - There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.
By accepting the scientific theory and not 'Gods' word, your future looks bleak. (Well, unless you change tune and become an atheist, then it wouldn't matter at all)
Then, you would know God would not accept you, accepting something that goes against 'his' word.

In other words, hell is the Doctrine (teachings) of Men, who use their imaginations.
If there were an afterlife, and I do not believe that there is but IF there is, then the worst fate I could imagine would be to spend every day, eternally, in the presence of the fundamentalist Christians I have known on earth. Some of the most hateful, judgmental and unpleasant people I have ever known....eternity in their company would be eternal torture.
I could not stand spending an hour or two with them on Sunday mornings. Why would I want to accompany them to heaven? And of course, most of them claim that they are the only ones getting their.
SO think about this. If a person like (won;t name names) That I knew is sitting in Heaven now, by virtue of his title and ordination as a minister, then heaven cannot be too nice of a place. No place is nice when he is around.
To me, heaven would be the absence of any such memory of such a person. And Hell would be time spent in the company of that person.
Think about that.
